This project is an investigation in how quantum science could break modern cryptography.
Post Crypto is presented through the research project
Post Quantum Cryptography Inquiry with over forty video interviews conducted by Paolo Cirio in collaboration with mathematicians Kilton Hopkins and Milanthi Sarukkali. They traveled across the United States and Europe to interview major physicists, cryptographers, mathematicians, and cybersecurity experts. The interviews expand on the social, political, and economic impacts of the hypothetical collapse of modern cryptography. The project aims to raise awareness about a major vulnerability of our society, which is heavily dependent on cryptography, which itself relies on a few mathematical assumptions. The potential breaking of the common forms of encryption would compromise privacy in emailing and browsing, signatures and identity verification, hardware and critical infrastructures, financial transactions and crypto-currencies. Ultimately, the investigation focuses on the ethics and policies around Quantum Supremacy.
