Obsessed Obscured Oppressed.
Digital print on acetate. 30x42 cm.
A black nightmare in which most of our obsessions overlap chaotically, revealing a blurry image of the orderly, repetitive composition of decadent capitalist society. Status symbols, consumerism, wars, info-overload, pollution, success, sex, waste, money, etc... – from these emerge deep-felt anxieties, as people fret over duties and aspirations. The urgent, pressing pace of life and the onslaught of imposed desires inevitably result in an overpowering sense of guilt, which comes from the responsibility given to single individuals.
